Creek Street is based on Dolly Arthur, one of the last residents of Ketchikan, Alaska’s Creek Street — a boardwalk community of working women in the early 1900s. Journalist Ryan Kincaid, sent to write Dolly’s obituary, becomes drawn into the life of a woman who refused to be defined by others.

Book and lyrics by William Leary; music by Stephen Geddes. Creek Street shifts between the bustling Creek Street at its peak and a nursing home where an 87-year-old Dolly still sparks. The show features 18 original songs spanning country, ragtime, and classic musical theater.

“Dolly Arthur named herself, built something from nothing, and never apologized for who she was,” says Leary. “Her story deserves to be told, and Creek Street aims to do that with care.”
