Kathleen Edwards is a Canadian singer-songwriter known for blending country-rock and folk music with introspective lyrics. She debuted in 2003 with "Failer" and has since released four more studio albums, including the critically acclaimed "Total Freedom" in 2020. Edwards has received multiple Juno Award nominations and is a SOCAN Songwriting Prize winner. She temporarily stepped away from music to open a coffee shop called "Quitters" before returning to recording and touring.
