Global Tales and Traditions Series: Indigenous Peoples’ Heritage Month

  • Surratt House Museum 9118 Brandywine Road Clinton, MD, 20735 United States (map)

Let’s take a trip around the world! Celebrate cultures and people from across the globe by exploring a variety of traditions and how they are preserved. Each month will feature a different heritage community, children’s book, and applicable craft. In November, we’ll focus on Indigenous Peoples’ heritage. We will be reading We Are Water Protectors by Carole Lindstrom with illustrations by Michaela Goade, and we’ll be making beaded pipe cleaner corn.
