Pianist Richard Goode, an Avery Fisher Prize and Grammy winner, is a leading interpreter known for nuanced playing. He opens with two Haydn sonata renditions, then presents "Fancies and Goodnights," short pieces by Bizet, Gluck, Rameau, Gesualdo and others chosen for their beauty and unpredictability, and concludes with Schubert’s final and celebrated Piano Sonata in B-flat Major.
