Confined within her broken body, tormented by her grief and guilt, plagued by her suicidal thoughts, and neglected by her work-addicted husband, Yardley, Rita finally confronts her inner demons after her friend Alice saved her from a near-death experience. Rita writes a script that reconciles the past wounds of the husband and wife, and transforms a physically broken, repressed, “can’t-do” wife into the immensely talented, champion teenager, whose life-threatening injuries during a competition had changed everything.
