Notes & Frames: A Film & Music Festival - Two Worlds

  • John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Concert Hall 2700 F Street Northwest Washington, DC, 20566 United States (map)

Performances: June 12-14

Join us for three distinct programs spotlighting classical concertos and movie music by master composers. On Thursday, Grammy winner James Ehnes plays James Newton Howard’s Violin Concerto No. 2. Friday’s concert features Delights and Dances by Michael Abels. Abel Pereira takes center stage Saturday in the Horn Concerto by Oscar-winning legend John Williams. Each concert, led by James Gaffigan, also features iconic film scores by classical composers—including Bernstein’s On the Waterfront, Rota’s The Godfather, and others.
