Struggle and Triumph Through The Vietnam War

 A powerful, true drama about six women who went to Vietnam: five nurses and a country western singer booked by an unscrupulous agent to entertain the troops, is being presented by Bowie Community Theatre. A Piece of My Heart, by Shirley Lauro, provides an absorbing and moving experience about a tumultuous period in American history—the Vietnam War. The play portrays the courageous story of each young woman as she struggles through the experiences that leave scars yet triumphs as a result of their tour through the war-torn nation. With the backdrop of the memorial wall in Washington, A Piece of My Heart is a salute to the men and women who represented this country during a divisive era.

This extraordinary show runs from November 2-18 at Bowie Playhouse, 16500 White Marsh Park Drive, Bowie MD 20715.
