Bring The Comedy
‘Laughs From Largo’ Debuts At The Grand Theater at PGCC Center for Performing Arts
From the success of ‘Funny Fools of April,’ which premiered last year, Comedian and Host Royale Watkins is welcomed back to the Center for Performing Arts at Prince George’s Community College in Largo for laughs and a good time with the debut of ‘Laughs and Largo.’ The new comedy show has a special line-up including Tony Roberts and Karlous Miller and will have two shows at 7p.m. & 9:30 p.m. on May 21.
The center officially opened its doors in September 2019 and since then management has been working on a revised schedule that would satisfy its customers. After the center opened, the results from a survey requested adding more entertainment programming at the state-of-the-art center to include shows in the genre of: theater, live music, and dance. Additionally, regular programming will include options for kids and families.
“We are hoping that this show brings people joy and laughter. With everything going on in the world, we can all use a good laugh. I know this show will provide that for people,” said Shantell Lucas, Marketing and Communications Specialist at the center.
The center for performing arts has focused on marketing the venue as a premiere event space in the county, while bringing value to its students and the surrounding communities. An official Season 4 schedule will be announced in August.
