A Tribute To The Music & Dance Of Janet Jackson

A successful music career for Jacket Jackson is one that she's held onto for 40 years. Jackson is an American singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer. She is noted for her innovative, socially conscious, and sexually provocative records, as well as elaborate stage shows. With her style, dance moves, and timeless hits, Janet has set the tone for many of our favorite artists today. To celebrate her music and great dance moves she’s known for, Bowie Center for the Performing Arts will host: ‘A Tribute to the Music & Dance of Janet Jackson,’ on Friday, September 23, 2022; 8:00pm.

The endless awards winning and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, JANET “Damito Jo” JACKSON, is the 10th and youngest member of the Jackson family. For almost 50 years, she has dazzled the world as a dancer, singer, songwriter, and actress.

Janet’s many genius producers, like my favs Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, along with her phenomenal choreographers and choreography were not only the catalyst for the explosion of MTV, they expressed the culture of our lives, set the bar high, and provided the blueprint and inspiration for many famous artists and groups that imitated her style, thereafter.

 Creating lyrics focused on her life experiences, cultural issues, breaking gender barriers, racial indifference, family, love, relationships, and fun which catapulted her into becoming not a triple, but a quadruple threat and iconic role model who is still on FIRE to this day!
