Successful Second Annual PGCAHC Film Festival Closes With Star Power At MGM National Harbor

Emmy award-winning actress Lynn Whitfield knew her audience well when she came to Prince George’s County on Oct 1 as a guest of the Prince George’s County Arts & Humanities Council. The winner of 7 NAACP Image Awards served up the tea at just the right temperature for nearly 800 guests of Take Two: the Second Annual PGCAHC Film Festival. The “Conversation with Lynn Whitfield,” hosted by journalist Harriette Cole, was the final event of the festival capping off an awards ceremony emceed by on-air personality and comic Joe Clair. Whitfield wooed listeners with her insight into the industry, study of her craft, discussion of the women she’s played, and even glimpses into her fitness and diet choices.
