Annual Prince George's Community College Scholarship Golf Tournament To Take Place In September
“Driving Student Success” is the tagline used to describe the annual event for one of Prince George’s County’s most influential landmarks. The Prince George's Community College Foundation is hosting the Prince George's Community College Scholarship Golf Tournament on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Oak Creek golf club. The announcement included a lovely description of the course, saying that it “features winding fairways lined with age-old oak trees.” They encourage visitors to register early to reserve a spot, the registration deadline being Friday, August 4, 2023. The event will take place at 600 Bowieville Manor Lane, Upper Marlboro, MD 20774.
Prince George’s Community College is a college whose main campus is in Largo, Maryland. Founded in 1958 and drawing in half of the county’s high school graduates every year, it offers a large number of degrees for employment in various workforces including Education, Liberal and Creative Arts, and Technology. “We give you a clear, direct path to your goals, which will help you save money, stay on track, and graduate faster,” reads a statement from the college on its website. The college has awarded nearly 5,130 scholarships, totaling nearly $5,000,000. This year, the tournament Co-Chairs are Lissa Ross, Angela McCullough, Ardania Williams.
Sponsorships for anyone wishing to donate include the Grand Slam Presenting Sponsor ($15,000), the Ace Sponsor ($10,000), the Eagle Sponsor ($5,000), the Birdie Sponsor ($2,500), the Mulligan Sponsor ($1,500), Golfer ($250), Alumni Golfer ($200), Sip & Swing Sponsor ($3,000), and Sip & Swing ($165).
