Seat Pleasant Day 2025

The city’s signature celebration takes place May 3. A day that brings together residents, families, local businesses, and community leaders to uplift and honor the spirit of unity, innovation, and progress.

This year’s theme “Empowered by Innovation, Driven by Community” reflects Seat Pleasant’s commitment as a Smart City of Excellence. The world’s first authentic small urban ecosystem using technology to improve community efficiency, increase government transparency, save time, strengthen trust in publicly funded systems, and equip America’s small cities for the future.

The day kicks off with a lively parade departing from City Hall at 9:30 and includes:

• Festival Stage: Enjoy a dynamic lineup of live music from Wisdom Speeks, Top 5 Band & Secret Society.

• Innovation Station: a hands-on, interactive space where residents of all ages can explore STEM, technology, and smart city solutions in a fun and engaging way.

• Green City: Learn more about the city’s sustainability efforts, including climate-smart practices, gardening, recycling initiatives, and eco-friendly transportation options.

• Fun Zone: Games, rides, and activities suitable for all ages.

• Senior Hangout: A dedicated space for our cherished seniors to relax and connect.

• Food Trucks & Vendors: Savor a variety of delicious offerings from local businesses.

“Seat Pleasant Day is more than just a festival; it's a testament to our city's resilience, innovation, and the strong bonds that tie our community together,” said Mayor Kelly Porter. “We are excited to showcase the best of Seat Pleasant and invite everyone to join in the celebration.”
