Fogo de Chão Coming Soon To National Harbor
The Brazilian Steakhouse, A Place Where Meat Is Cooked In Churrasco Style
The traditional gaúcho method of roasting meats over an open fire, known as “ground fire” is what has become a fan favorite and really one of the most interesting ways of eating meat, churrasco style. The well-known Brazilian steakhouse chain Fogo de Chão is coming to National Harbor and will be the new tenants at 141 National Plaza that was once occupied by McLoone’s Pier House, and closed amid the pandemic. An opening date has not been set yet.
Ushering in new dining experiences, the county is welcoming Fogo de Chão and is hoping it will go over well for the meat lovers and just about anyone who loves a five star restaurant. The chain started in 1979 and features fresh cuts of fire-roasted meats, along with salads and traditional Brazilian cocktails. As a full-service Brazilian steakhouse, customers are taken care of by roving waiters who serve the meat on hot platters and will cut the perfect piece of selected meat for its guests.
The experience is eye dropping and mouth watering. Once you have the meat on the plates, its time for the fixings. This part, you can help yourself to at the full buffet of salads and delectables. The signature steak known as the picanha (the prime part of the top sirloin), is flavored with sea salt or garlic. Customers also rated the moist Costela (Beef Ribs) braised as a favorite that is braised for 4 hours and the Fraldinha (Bottom sirloin), the rib-eye, sausage, bacon-wrapped sirloin, filet mignon, and lamb chops are all highly rated. What complements the slices of top sirloin is the fresh and colorful vegetable salad.
The 12,154-square-foot space at the National Harbor is waterfront property and includes a full patio seating section. Once opened, don’t forget to make a reservation and tell them that The Suite sent you!
