A Night Of Talent & Magic
The April 28 Prince George’s Arts Gala Puts Area Youth Talent Under The Big Lights
In 2017, The Prince George’s Arts And Humanities Council presented a showcase of talent that took a year for people who witnessed it to exhale from. The April 28 gala comes just in time for them to get blown away again.
The 2018 arts gala, “A Cultural Tapestry: Renaissance through The Arts,” will include visual and performance art, dance, theater and musical performances that belie the ages of the artists who offer them April 28.
"We are excited to partner once again with PGCPS on this year's Arts Gala event," says Prince George’s Arts And Humanities Council Executive Director Rhonda Dallas. "The tremendous response received by last year's attendees viewing students' artworks and performances showcased was truly heartfelt by all of us who understand the value of quality arts programming in our schools."
“Last year’s gala was a stellar event,” says Prince George’s Suite Magazine & Media Publisher Raoul Dennis (see photos and video here). “The scale of pure talent was absolutely remarkable. We will all be paying top dollar to see these young people perform in years to come and we will be proud to do it.”
“For those who attended the gala last year, you know how incredible this event was in April,” said Prince George’s County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Kevin M. Maxwell as he spoke before a 200 member audience at the State of the Education System discussion in November. “I recommend that you get your tickets soon to this one.”
The Prince George’s County Public Schools and Joe’s Movement Emporium are sponsors and participants in the gala.
The gala will be held at the College Park Marriott Hotel and Conference Center in College Park, MD. Watch this space for further updates.
