Five Shades of Purple
As The Shops at Iverson Mall continues to undergo renovations, it is continuing to develop as an important new hub of social events as well as serve as a center for positive change for the communities it serves.
More area consumers are gravitating to the mall’s freshening blend of retail and user-friendly events such as regular farmer’s markets, workshops and concerts. And there are more events on the horizon.
The Women With No Limits and its Second Annual 5 Shades of Purple at Bahamas Bounce on May 5 served as one such community empowering event among many the mall plans to provide over the months ahead.
The event was created to help address women’s issues such as health and economic empowerment, providing helpful seminars across the southern Maryland region. This year’s event featured an all-woman panel, which addressed these important issues and provided resources and meaningful advice.
Participants gained valuable information from accomplished speakers such as, Tamika Douglas, CEO, Women With No Limits, Pamela Hawk, CEO/Founder, Serenity’s Door, Inc., and Evangelist, Crystal White, Empowerment Speaker, Entrepreneur and Intercessor.
DJ Hazeleyes provided music and Lakisha Honesty served as host. For more information, see
