County Council To Host 2020 Budget Process Town Hall Meeting

The Prince George’s County Council will host a town hall meeting to discuss the FY2020 budget.

The event will be held Feb 26 at Prince George’s Community College’s Largo Student Center in Community Rooms A & B at 7 p.m.

The council will discuss the county’s fiscal outlook. Presenters include Deputy County Auditor Turkessa Green from the Office of Audits and Investigations and Office of Management and Budget Director Stanley Earley.

Additionally, the council will share insight to the budget review and adoption process.

Residents, organizations and other stakeholders are invited to share their concerns and hopes for areas of focus for the next budget.

The county is currently on a positive economic trajectory. Education, public safety and economic development are anticipated focal points in keeping with for the overall direction of the county. Leaders will discuss overall direction and plans but will hear public interests and concerns.
