County Executive Alsobrooks Announces Modified Phase II Reopening of Prince George’s County Effective June 15

The county is moving cautiously into a modified Phase II reopening.
Effective June 15, as a result of Prince George’s County COVID-19 numbers continuing in a downward trend, Prince George’s County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks announced on June 11, the plans for Phase II.
Retail stores, barbershops, hair/nail salons, child care can reopen at a limited capacity. They must follow all CDC guidelines.
Restaurants can open inside dining at limited capacities. Restaurant owners will also keep developing outdoor dining and employees will be required to take health checks before each shift.
Pools can open at 25% capacity, following CDC guidelines. Indoor gyms and fitness centers will remain closed. Parks will be allowed to open along with car washes and houses of worship can open at 25% capacity indoors with continuing outdoor/online services.
All venues, restaurants, shops, swimming pools, etc. must follow all CDC guidelines for their specific industry as well as Maryland safety and health standards.
The Prince George’s Health Department will open new COVID-19 test sites, including Laurel (the Laurel-Beltsville Senior Center) on Mondays. Call 301-883-6627 for an appointment.
