A Milestone Birthday
State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy Helps Senior Pauline Cole Patton Celebrate Her 102nd Birthday
In 1919, troops were returning home from World War I and for African Americans, it was the year known as ‘Red Summer” in which racial violence skyrocketed. It was also the year a baby girl was born in South Carolina and named Pauline. On Friday, December 10, Pauline Cole Patton celebrated her 102nd birthday and received a surprise visit from Prince George’s County State’s Attorney Aisha Braveboy. Affectionately known as Auntie Pauline, she has lived in Prince George’s County for over 80 years. Her momentous birthday celebration was joined by friends and family for her.
