Gov Hogan Makes Vaccinations Open To All Marylanders
Access to COVID-19 vaccinations moved into another phase April 5, according to Gov. Larry Hogan.
All Maryland residents 16 or older will be eligible to receive a coronavirus vaccine at the state’s mass vaccination sites starting April 6, Hogan said.
Residents 16 and older will be eligible at pharmacies and doctors’ offices and through other providers starting April 12.
The announcement comes just days after it was learned that FEMA will be setting up a mass vaccination site in the county (See “FEMA To Join County In COVID Vaccination Effort”). It’s scheduled to open on April 7 at the Greenbelt Metro station. Residents seeking to be vaccinated there will be required to register in advance. Call the State’s Vaccination Support Center at 1-855-MD-GOVAX (1-855-634-6829) to pre-register.
County leaders and health professionals expected to exceed 300,000 vaccinations by the end of the Easter holiday weekend through the county health department, pharmacies, hospitals, and other sites.
