COVID Restrictions To End In Maryland
Gov. Hogan To Remove All Covid Restrictions As Of July 1
With COVID-19 cases continuing to decline and President Joe Biden’s upcoming deadline of a July 4 Independence Day from the pandemic’s hold on the nation, Gov. Larry S. Hogan will remove all COVID-19 restrictions starting July 1.
Currently, the state has given over 6.5 million vaccinations, enjoyed a record-low 7-day positivity rate and a positivity rate under 1% for seven straight days.
“We have reached that light at the end of the tunnel,” Hogan said June 15.
Vaccination efforts will continue across the state.
In Prince George’s, MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital Center will hold a free vaccine event from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2021, at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Capitol Heights. The Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine will be available for adults of any age and children who are 12 or older. Minors under the age of 18, however, must be accompanied by an adult. Insurance is not required and walk-ins are welcome.
