Ready Your Voice, The Vote
Board Of Elections Urges County Residents To Plan Their Vote During This Election Season
For millions in Maryland, the hour is upon the voters.
The Prince George’s County Board of Elections urges all eligible voters to plan their vote for the upcoming Maryland Gubernatorial Primary Election. Primary Election Day is Tuesday, July 19.
“We want eligible voters to make sure to have a plan to vote during this election season,” says Alisha Alexander, Elections Administrator. “Voters have the option to vote by mail or vote in-person during early voting or on Primary Election Day. We are encouraging residents to know where the closest drop box is or their assigned polling location. When you plan your vote, you will increase your chance of effectively participating in the elections.”
The Board of Elections also reminds county voters of the following:
· If you missed the deadline to apply for a vote by mail ballot, you may go to the Board of Elections to request one in-person.
· If you requested a vote by mail ballot prior to June 30th and have not received it, please contact the Board of Elections so they can check the status of your request and ensure you receive another ballot. The Prince George’s County Board of Elections has safeguards in place to ensure that each voter only casts one ballot. At this time, there is no backlog of vote by mail ballot requests in the County. For more information, e-mail boeabsenteevoting@co.pg.md.us or election@co.pg.md.us.
· If you need someone else to pick-up and return your vote by mail ballot for you, you may designate an agent on a form provided by the Board of Elections to obtain and return your vote by mail ballot for you. · Early Voting Centers are not open on Primary Election Day. You must vote at your assigned polling place on Primary Election Day.

· If you are a convicted felon but have completed your court-ordered sentence of imprisonment, you may vote.
