The 2024 Budget Listening Session Season Begins Jan. 25

If it seems that the years roll by faster, then it’s no surprise that the 2024 budget considerations are already upon us at the dawn of 2023.

Prince George’s County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks leads the call to residents to participate in the process which begins this week.

“It’s officially budget season, and we want to hear from Prince Georgians! We are holding our FY 2024 Budget Listening Session virtually on Thursday, January 26, at 6:00 PM. This session allows us to discuss some of our main priorities for the upcoming budget, and get input from Prince Georgians on the things that you want to see in the proposed budget that I will send to the County Council,” the county executive wrote in her online newsletter, “Angela’s Update” on Jan. 17.

She continued:

Residents interested in testifying virtually during the listening session should sign up HERE by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 25. Written comments can be submitted via email to OMB@co.pg.md.us by 5:00 PM on Friday, January 27, and will be accepted in lieu of, or in addition to, oral comments. Testimony will be limited to 3 minutes per presenter and one speaker per organization.

Residents who do not wish to speak but still want to view the listening session can do so HERE. All of this information is also available on the County’s Budget Listening Session webpage HERE. We look forward to hearing your ideas and feedback for the FY 2024 proposed budget later this month!
