Port City Brewing Company Celebrates Thirteen Years With Release Of COLOSSAL Anniversary Ale

To celebrate thirteen years of brewing, Port City Brewing Company will release COLOSSAL Anniversary Ale which is a rich, full-bodied old ale pouring a deep mahogany color and is accentuated by ruby highlights. Sitting at 9.8%, the beer features flavors of dried fruit and toffee which are complemented by a subtle hop presence. This beer is intentionally crafted to be cellared for months, or even years. The beer will be available on draft and in bottles throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Port City will introduce COLOSSAL Anniversary Ale during a two-day release party at the brewery on Friday, February 2nd and Saturday, February 3rd with market release events shortly following. In addition to the Anniversary Ale, Port City is releasing a new Italian Pilsner called il Palio. Inspired by the famed Palio di Siena, a historic horse race that dates back to the 17th century, il Palio embodies the essence of this thrilling competition. The beer pours a brilliant straw blonde, hopped with Saphir and Adeena hops, the aroma and flavor is a rhythmic blend of citrus and herbal notes.

A few vintage barrel-aged releases can also be found at their celebration on Saturday, February 3rd. Port City is tapping a COLOSSAL Six aged since 2020, Woodford Reserve Barrel-Aged Porter, and a Maple Rye Catoctin Creek Barrel-Aged COLOSSAL One.
