Rent, Schools Family Friendly Laws Pass In Prince George’s

In the last week of the Prince George’s County Council session, members of the esteemed body passed two key pieces of legislation:

 CR-63-2024 a multi-year Memorandum of Understanding for phase 2 of the County’s P3 (public-private partnership) school construction project.

CB-55-2024  AN ACT CONCERNING PERMANENT RENT STABILIZATION AND PROTECTION ACT OF 2024 for the purpose of establishing permanent protections for renters against excessive rent increases and generally stabilizing rent prices in Prince George’s County, subject to certain conditions.
