A Time To Reflect And Honor
On this Memorial Day, we pause to recognize the many men and women who answered the call to duty and paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense and support of our great nation.

First recognized in 1868 following the Civil War, Memorial Day honored Union and Confederate soldiers who died in battle. In 1967 it officially became a national holiday with observances such as parades, family cookouts, religious and recognition ceremonies.
During Memorial Day, the American flag is flown half-staff and many people visit national and state veterans’ cemeteries to pay respect.
Let us never forget the United States of America enjoys the oldest Constitutional Democracy in the world today. It is often said “Freedom isn’t free” reminding us of the countless sacrifices made by Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and warriors who swore to “support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, both foreign and domestic”.
On this Memorial Day we stand proudly to honor the memory of the many heroes who served and died so we may continue to enjoy the fruits of liberty.
God Bless America
