At My Girlfriend's House: Recycling Is The New Green
“Recycled Couture”
Damage to the earth has started to show itself in the form of increased earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, tornadoes, volcanoes, etc. Many believe decades of pollution and land filling is destroying the planet. Many believe the call to reverse the damage is imperative if humans are going to survive. Electric cars, lower emissions, green buildings are just the beginning to repairing the negative impact.
Many are taking an active role in doing what they can to save the environment.
For the young ladies at My Girlfriend’s House, Inc., the old saying, “What’s old is new” has more than just a ring of truth to it. These young teens showed their support and their awareness of saving the environment by hosting a fashion show where they showcased "Designer" recycled clothes out of newspapers, trash bags and other recyclable items. It was an eye-opening experience showing guests that Haute Couture can exist even in recycled clothes. The fashion show took place at the Shops at Iverson on July 6.
