FBCG Men’s Conference Calls Men to Get “Chosen”
A powerful lineup of speakers, worship, brotherhood and a special Family Night will take center stage Aug. 14–15 in Upper Marlboro.
The call is going out to men across Prince George’s County and the Washington metropolitan region: Come ready to be challenged. Come ready to be strengthened. Come ready to discover what it means to be “Chosen.”
First Baptist Church of Glenarden International will bring together an impressive collection of faith leaders, communicators, entertainers and nationally recognized personalities for its 2026 FBCG Men’s Conference, “Chosen,” Friday and Saturday, Aug. 14–15, at the FBCG Worship Center, 600 Watkins Park Drive in Upper Marlboro.
Rooted in 1 Peter 2:9, this year’s conference is built around a message of identity and purpose, challenging men to embrace their identity in Christ, boldly pursue their calling and become disciples prepared to lead, serve and make an impact. (First Baptist Church of Glenarden)
And FBCG is bringing some serious voices to the conversation.
The conference lineup includes Tony Dungy, James Brown, Kwame Kilpatrick, Pastor Jonathan Evans, Anthony Evans and Joshua Copeland, with comedian Broderick Rice adding laughter to a weekend designed to combine spiritual growth with fellowship, inspiration and connection.
Dungy brings the perspective of one of professional football’s most respected former coaches and a longtime voice on faith, family and leadership. Brown, the veteran sports broadcaster and television personality, adds another familiar national voice to the gathering.
Kilpatrick will bring his testimony and ministry perspective, while Jonathan Evans, Anthony Evans and Copeland will help carry a program focused on strengthening men spiritually and encouraging them to lead with conviction.
The weekend gets underway in a particularly inviting fashion on Friday, Aug. 14, at 7 p.m. EDT, when FBCG presents Family Night at the Men’s Conference. Pastor Jonathan Evans will serve as the evening’s guest speaker, while recording artist and worship leader Anthony Evans will appear as guest artist. The combination promises to launch the conference with an energetic evening of faith, music and family connection.
That opening night also signals something important about the conference’s larger message: strengthening men can ultimately strengthen families and communities.
From there, the gathering continues Saturday, with the overall conference scheduled to conclude at 3 p.m. FBCG describes its Men’s Conference as an experience created to equip and inspire men through dynamic speakers, worship, meaningful conversations and messages centered on purpose, integrity and faith. The goal extends well beyond filling seats for a weekend.

Those questions give the conference its urgency.
