Since the 2010 release of his self titled debut album, Prince Royce has been experimenting with his own special blend of Latin pop, bachata and R & B infused sounds to create a unique type of music. In what seemed like seconds after its release, the album Prince Royal debuted at number 15 on the Billboard Latin album chart while the first single off this album, a remake of Ben E. King's classic 1961 song "Stand By Me", peaked at number one on U.S. Billboard Tropical Songs chart. After Prince Royal's second single, "Corazon Sin Cara" was released, it hit number one on both the US Hot Latin Songs chart and the Tropical Songs chart and was quickly followed by the record itself reaching number one on the US Billboard Latin Albums chart.
Although Prince Royce's debut album is not sung in English, he signed on in with Atlantic Records in 2011 with the intention of creating English language albums. Prince Royce ended 2011 performing in concert while on a tour that included Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, and he is currently working on material for his second album.
