Zainab Johnson is a stand-up comedian, actress, and writer whose Harlem upbringing as one of 13 siblings in a Black Muslim family shapes her POV. A former teacher with degrees in Education and Math, she’s a series regular on Amazon’s Upload, co-hosts Netflix’s 100 Humans, and starred as Dr. Hanniel in web series Avant-Guardians. She’s appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers, HBO’s All Def Comedy, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and performed at JFL (including New Face and Variety’s Top 10 Comics to Watch). She’s a paid regular at The Comedy Store, The Improv, Laugh Factory, and the Comedy Cellar. Her hourlong special Hijabs Off streams on Amazon.
