Greenbelt’s Art And Culture Scene Is Thriving
For a town like Greenbelt, created for federal government workers to receive affordable housing in 1935 by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, things have taken a colorful turn in the new millennium. The arts have found a home in the city with historic roots: the city’s cultural leaders have released the latest culture and arts calendar listing their fall activity guide, artist news and upcoming opportunities.
Artists may sign up for the Open Studio Tour. Greenbelt-affiliated artists, can participate in a hybrid open studio tour scheduled for October 3. Artists can greet visitors in person at your home/studio (in Greenbelt), or contribute a video tour or demonstration to share online. Sign up now to express interest and receive event communications. See past tour videos on the Greenbelt Recreation ARTS YouTube channel and visit the tour in review page from the previous events in June. The deadline to sign-up is September 17.
