Merrill College Alumni Invited to Third Annual Homecoming Tailgate

The University of Maryland’s Journalism Alumni Network (JAN) is inviting alumni to reconnect and celebrate at its Third Annual Homecoming Tailgate on Saturday, November 1 at 12:30 p.m. The event will be held in the Knight Hall Courtyard, located at 7765 Alumni Drive in College Park.

Open to all Merrill College graduates and friends, the tailgate offers an afternoon of fellowship, food, and fun ahead of the Terps’ homecoming game against Indiana. The gathering gives alumni the opportunity to reminisce, network, and share their love for journalism and the university while enjoying the festive spirit of homecoming weekend.

Tailgate attendees can purchase game tickets online and are encouraged to bring their Terp pride as they celebrate the enduring connections built through Merrill College. Parking passes and additional information are available on the UMD Department of Transportation Services (DOTS) website.

A suggested donation of $5 per person will help support future alumni engagement and student programs sponsored by the Journalism Alumni Network.

Organizers say the event is a great way for alumni to stay connected to the college community and celebrate the legacy of excellence that defines the Philip Merrill College of Journalism.
