Prince George’s County Fashion Week Calls Creatives to the Runway
Prince George’s County is preparing to turn up the lights, open the runway and give its creative community a new stage.
County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy has announced the inaugural Prince George’s County Fashion Week (PGCFW), a three-day celebration of fashion, culture, creativity, commerce and community scheduled for September 23–25, 2026.
But this is more than an invitation to watch. Designers, models, vendors, entrepreneurs, sponsors and other creatives are being called to participate now.
Hosted at the Metro Points Hotel in New Carrollton, Fashion Week is being positioned as a platform to elevate Prince George’s creative economy while introducing the county’s distinctive fashion identity to a much wider audience.
For a county rich with cultural diversity, artistic talent and entrepreneurial energy, the inaugural event could offer local creatives something especially valuable: visibility.
Runway shows will feature collections from established and emerging designers, while exhibitions and vendor opportunities will create a marketplace for brands, products and creative merchandise. Cultural showcases will spotlight the region’s heritage and style, and aspiring models and other talent will have opportunities for discovery by industry insiders.
Fashion Week will also put business behind the beauty. Forums, educational sessions, networking opportunities and community mixers are designed to connect the creative economy with retail commerce—giving participants opportunities to build relationships as well as audiences.
The call to action is clear: don’t wait to claim your place.
Applications are now open for designers and vendors, while event tickets and corporate sponsorship opportunities are also available. Participants can register by scanning the official event QR code (see flyer above). Space is limited, and registrations are being accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prince George’s County Fashion Week will take place September 23–25 at the Metro Points Hotel, 8500 Annapolis Road, New Carrollton.
For Prince George’s creatives who have been waiting for a bigger platform, this could be their moment.
