County Executive Candidates To Participate In Forum for Arts, Culture And Creativity
By Nicole Livas
The County Executive Forum for the Arts, Culture and Creativity // The Clarice Performing Arts Center Kay Theater // Mar. 12 . 7:00 p.m.
It’s always good to start a big fight off with a few easy first rounds.
Just as the 2018 election campaign season kicks into gear, candidates for County Executive will come together for the first time with arts and culture at the center of debate and discussion.
The event is sponsored by the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council and The Clarice’s Community Action People.
Candidates will talk about the arts and their platforms at The County Executive Forum for the Arts, Culture and Creativity. The public is invited to share their input on what they’d like to see in support of the arts in the county. Topics up for discussion include arts education, workforce development, funding and facilities.
The “Creative We Stand” forum will be held at The Clarice Performing Arts Center Kay Theater at the University of Maryland in College Park on March 12 at 7:00 pm. Radio host and producer Jacquie Gales Webb will serve as moderator.
The public is encouraged to invite family members, colleagues and friends to join in on the event and create a lively discussion.
Questions can be submitted in advance which will be reviewed by the Forum Committee and considered for inclusion in the discussion.
A reception will be held before the forum at 5:30 pm at Milk Boys ArtHouse in College Park.
PGAHC promotes arts and humanities through education and business and government partnerships in the county.
