Ninth Hotel Breaks Ground in National Harbor
Prince George’s County’s First Hyatt-branded Hotel Joins Others
One of the top destination points in Maryland, National Harbor is welcoming its ninth hotel. Breaking ground last month, the seven-story, 156-room Hyatt Place National Harbor will sit harborside with plans for 1,700 square feet of meeting space, fitness center, business center, restaurant, and bar with patio.
This will be the first Hyatt-branded hotel in Prince George’s County, Md.
Set to open in late 2020, the new hotel property will join National Harbor’s other hotels, including Gaylord National Convention Center, MGM National Harbor, The Westin Washington National Harbor, Residence Inn by Marriott National Harbor, Hampton Inn & Suites National Harbor, Wyndham Vacation Resorts National Harbor and Harborside Hotel.
“Our Hyatt Place will compliment National Harbor’s current mix of hotels and resorts, offering a pet-friendly option with thoughtfully-designed guest rooms and social spaces,” said OTO president and CEO Corry Oakes.
The developer said more than half of the rooms at the Hyatt Place National Harbor will overlook the Potomac River.
