The expanded Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) launched in 2019 is accepting applications for the summer of 2020.

The program allows a greater number of young people to participate for more years than summer employment efforts in previous years. In 2019, The Prince George’s Chamber of Commerce and the Bowie Chamber of Commerce partnered with the effort (click here “For the Future, It Starts With Jobs For Youth). Program leaders attracted greater numbers of local businesses to participate – giving young employees a greater range of experiences and connections.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for our children and youth to gain practical experience and knowledge,” wrote Dr. George L. Askew, Prince George’s County Deputy Chief Administrative Officer for Health, Human Services and Education in a recent tweet.

Applications are open for 2020 Youth@Work/Summer Youth Enrichment Program.
