In a public meeting with the full County Council, Prince George’s County Executive Angela D. Alsobrooks shared highpoints of her administration’s proposed allocation of $150 million in federal CARE Act dollars to address COVID-19 relief May 18.
There are also private donations that help to complete the package the administration is managing.
The county’s top executive said her team was especially careful in determining how to apply the funds. The plan includes relief in a broad swath of areas including health, small business support, housing aid to renters and support for homeowners, food insecurity and more.
For nearly 30 minutes, Alsobrooks outlined the plan before taking questions from councilmembers. Click audio bars below to hear the full exchange (parts 1 and 2).
