Maryland Voters Must Be Sure To Register This Week, Encouraged To Check Status

In what some are calling one of the most important election seasons in modern history, Maryland voters will face key deadlines beginning this week.
Wednesday, May 27, is the deadline to register to vote in the 2020 Maryland Presidential Primary Elections and state officials want to make sure that voters can vote in the federal, state, county, and city elections.
May 26 - Deadline to request an absentee ballot, update registration or request an address change.
May 29 - Deadline to download ballot from the State's website
June 2 – All Ballots must be postmarked
For information on how to request an Absentee Ballot, or for voter registration status visit elections.maryland.gov or call the Maryland State Board of Elections, 1-800-222-8683.
Maryland voters cannot use the state’s website to register for the first time or update the registration for someone else. A request can be submitted online or via paper form. (If using a paper form, read the instructions, enter the required information, print the form, sign it, and return it to your local board of elections. It can also be returned by mail, fax, or email -scanned as an attachment).
