Women are the world's most powerful consumers, and their impact on the economy is growing every year and today’s women’s clothing is a line of ultimate representation of a woman’s body confidence with the hope of bringing more stylish and glamorous to the streets. ShopHER, a 4,000-square-foot retail space featuring goods from local, women-owned small businesses, held its grand opening on Wednesday at the mezzanine level inside Union Station in Washington, DC.
ShopHER will bring a diverse array of goods from local women-owned small businesses to the historic space. The grand opening included remarks from dignitaries and was followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony and shopping spree for customers.
The ShopHER “pop-up incubator,” funded by CARES Act grant money from the SBA, is a collaboration supported by the D.C. Women’s Business Center (DCWBC), the Maryland Women’s Business Center (MWBC), the National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC), the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Union Station, and Ashkenazy Realty.
