The official launch of the CreativeWorks Digital Media Apprenticeship Program took place November 18, at Joe’s Movement Emporium. The press conference, which featured Congressman Glenn Ivey as guest speaker, will help celebrate this significant milestone for creative talent and workforce development in the DMV. Ivey was key in obtaining the grant through his work with the U.S. Department of Labor.
The CreativeWorks Digital Media Apprenticeship Program is a newly registered initiative with the Department of Labor, aimed at empowering young adults with hands-on skills and career pathways in digital media. It has received a $3 million grant to aid in providing training over years to come.
