Prince George’s County Executive Aisha N. Braveboy is inviting residents to join her in a series of public discussions designed to strengthen the partnership between government and community. Through her Elevate Prince George’s: Raising Every Voice, Advancing Every Community listening tour, Braveboy is opening doors for residents to share their priorities, concerns, and visions for a stronger county.

An initial stop on the tour took place on October 23, in District 25, with a focus on local development, youth engagement, and workforce opportunities. The afternoon will include legislative roundtables, community center visits, and on-site discussions with business and nonprofit leaders.

The October 23 schedule features three stops:

  • 1:35 PM – Durant Center, 5001 Silver Hill Road, Suite 106, Suitland – briefing on community development projects.

  • 2:10 PM – Winship Wheatley Center, 8801 Ritchie Drive, Capitol Heights – discussion on youth sports and recreation fields.

  • 2:35 PM – Coke Consolidated Facility, 500 Dunmore Place, Capitol Heights – overview of workforce and community impact initiatives.

Following this session, additional listening tour dates are expected in Districts 7, 8, and 9 through the end of the year, focusing on topics such as affordable housing, public safety, education, and small business growth. Each stop is designed to bring residents face-to-face with government and community leaders in an open, solutions-focused dialogue.

Braveboy emphasized that resident participation is at the heart of her administration’s work. “Our success as a county depends on every voice being heard. These discussions are about listening, learning, and leading together,” she said.

Residents are encouraged to attend upcoming sessions and register online to receive updates and location details by visiting https://mypgc.us/ElevatePGC or emailing CEXComms@co.pg.md.us.
