Decision For The District 6 Council Seat Appointment
As many of you know, on April 15th, County Councilman Derrick Leon Davis resigned from his position as the District 6 Representative on the County Council. We thank Councilman Davis for his service. The County Charter prompts an appointment process made by a majority of the members of the County Council.
With the election less than three months away, the best option is for the Council to appoint a non-candidate to temporarily fill the vacant position and that has been the position of many communities and residents. I agree with this position and I have chosen not apply for the appointment.
I will continue to focus my time and effort on sharing my vision for a better and more vibrant District 6 by reaching out to you and your neighbors through door knocking, phone banking and more to earn your support. Our goal is to continue to build the groundswell of support we need for our people-powered campaign and victory on July 19th, and the honor of serving the residents of District 6 .
See you at the doors,
