Dear Prince Georgians:

I hope this message finds you well. The recent federal layoffs have affected many within our community, and these are undoubtedly uncertain times for all of us. In Prince George’s County, our connection to the federal government runs deep. With more than 40,000 residents employed by federal agencies—the third highest number of any county in Maryland—we know that many of us have a friend, neighbor, or family member impacted by these changes. We are in this together, and our commitment to supporting one another remains unwavering.

In partnership with Employ Prince George’s and the State Department of Labor, we are excited to announce the Federal Employee Career Transition & Resource Fair on March 12, 2025 at The Hotel at the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. This event is our way of providing you with essential tools, connections, and resources to help navigate your next career move.

At the fair, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Meet employers and resource partners

  • Explore job opportunities in both the government and private sectors

  • Network with industry experts and fellow professionals

  • Hear from guest speakers, including myself, who are dedicated to your success

We are proud of the deep ties between Prince George’s County and the federal workforce, and we remain committed to investing in the strength and future of our community. This job fair is designed with your needs in mind, offering a supportive space to explore new possibilities and take the next step in your career journey.
