Father’s Day Weekend Events

Father's Day is a holiday of honoring fatherhood and paternal bonds, as well as the influence of fathers in society. This year, Father’s Day weekend aligns with Juneteenth celebrations but there are several events happening to help you celebrate the man in your life that means the most to you.

On Sunday, June 19, The Juneteenth Father's Day Soul Marathon featuring Freddie Jackson, The Manhattans Featuring Gerald Alston. Special performances include The Softones, Bloodstone, Blue Magic, The Temprees, First Impression, J'Kar, Palovation, and Style. Hosted by Ms. Maybelle with Special Guest DJ Mike Jones and DJ Unique. The concert will begin at 5:30pm and take place at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena (1000 Hilltop Circle Baltimore, MD)

Bowie's Juneteenth: Fathers and Family Bike Ride Juneteenth Celebration kicks off on Sunday, June 19 at Allen Pond (3330 Northview Drive Bowie, MD). The Capital Region Cycling Network (CRCN) will host the second annual Fathers and Family / Juneteenth bike event, a 36-mile ride to Annapolis, Maryland. Registration is required and experienced riders only are encouraged to join. Food, refreshments, and music will be provided as we invite you and your family to join The Prince George's County Commission on Fathers, Men, and Boys along with My Brother's Keeper in celebration of Juneteenth and Father's Day. The bike ride begins at 9:00am.
