JBA WELCOMES NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION TO 2025 AIR SHOW

In just 30 days, the skies over the National Capital Region will roar to life as Joint Base Andrews (JBA) hosts one of the military’s most iconic air shows, Sept. 13–14, 2025. Open to the public with free admission, the two-day event invites families, aviation fans, and patriots alike to explore America’s Airfield from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

This year’s show is headlined by the legendary U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, delivering precision, power, and pride in a breathtaking display of aerial prowess. The lineup features a full spectrum of military and civilian performers including the F-35A Lightning II Demo Team, C-17 Globemaster III East Coast Demo Team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights, U.S. Navy F/A-18 “Rhino” Demo Team, and the U.S. Naval Academy Parachute Team, among others.

Attendees will witness the evolution of air power firsthand—from vintage warbirds to today’s cutting-edge aircraft, and even a glimpse into the future of flight and technology. The 2025 theme, “Where Legacy Fuels Future” honors the deep heritage and bold innovation of the Armed Forces in service to the nation.

In addition to thrilling aerial displays, visitors can immerse themselves in a robust STEM/STEAM Expo featuring hands-on history exhibits, interactive tech, and virtual reality experiences. Live music, performances by the Joint Base Andrews Honor Guard, and family-friendly activities round out this all-American celebration.

This year’s event marks the first public air show at Joint Base Andrews in three years—a unique opportunity to step inside a base known for its critical role in the Presidential airlift mission and global operations.
