MGM National Harbor Comes to Life In Prince George’s

“The day has finally come,” said one guest beaming from ear to ear.
“This is it, Now, we’re open,” says County Council Chair Derrick Leon Davis. "We are really open!"
“Even if you’re in DC visiting…now you have a reason to stay an extra night and come here to be entertained, go shopping, whatever. Merry Christmas,” says Prince George’s County Conference and Visitors Bureau boss Matt Neitzey. (video)
“Tonight at 11:00…it’s going to be chaos!” says Jon Peterson of the Peterson Companies. “But it will be good, controlled chaos,” his smile brimming so broadly, his son standing next to him, contagiously caught it.
County Executive Rushern L. Baker III framed it a little differently: “This is a signal that Prince George’s really is the place to be. We are the economic engine of Maryland and this [opening day at MGM] says that it’s true.”
Nods and recognition to everyone from former County Executive Wayne K. Curry to Milt Peterson to Jacob Oberman, the county council and the people of Prince George’s.
According to The $1.4 billion integrated resort’s leadership, MGM National Harbor was over capacity each night of its opening weekend.
