The Greenbelt Labor Day Parade Is Still Bigger Than Life in A Small Setting

Nothing says America more than a Labor Day Parade: people, pride and politicians. The tradition in Greenbelt has become a weekend long celebration capped by the parade that includes everything from dog trainers to theater groups to motorcycle clubs, elected officials and of course winding up with Greenbelt’s bravest – the fire department. Greenbelt’s campaign colors were black and gold and a limited number of t-shirts, signs & paraphernalia were given to participants. The weather at Buddy Attick Park was perfect but even the clear skies and sunshine didn’t compare with the hearts and smiles of the over 500 who attended the parade and the festival that followed.
