County Councilmember Dannielle M. Glaros Shares Locations Where Residents Can Get Support During The Coronavirus Outbreak

"Grab and go" meals are available at 36 schools Monday - Friday, from 10:00, am until 1:00 pm. Students may pick up breakfast, lunch and snack, which may include cold cereal, a sack lunch, fruit and milk, in one visit. Parents and guardians are not required to accompany students, but adults may not pick up meals for children. Student IDs are not required.  District 3 locations are Templeton Elementary and William Wirt MIddle School. Full list is here.

Christian Life Church will have a free produce distribution this Friday every Friday at 12 pm at 5600 Taylor Road, Riverdale. They will be asking attendees to maintain a distance from each other and to not crowd. 

Capital Area Food Bank is distributing food on Tuesdays and Saturdays, including this Saturday, March 21, at 3:00 pm at the Giant Food stores located at 6000 Greenbelt Road, Greenbelt; 10480 Campus Way South, Largo; and 7074 Allentown Road, Camp Springs


SEED is distributing food weekly on Wednesdays at 12 pm at East Pines Community Center, 5819 Eastpine Drive, Riverdale. 

Bladensburg Community Center, 4500 57th Avenue, 3rd Thursday of each month, Free fresh produce 

Trinity Church, 7800 Good Luck Road, 4th Friday of each month, Free Fresh Produce

Faith-Based Cooperative at Charles Carroll Middle School, 4th Saturday of each month

Ebeneezer Food Bank, 1st and 3rd Saturdays each month at New Carrollton City Hall

Several grocery stores in the area have instituted a policy that reserves the first hour of the day for shoppers age 60 and above to assist in reducing the risk for this vulnerable population.

In addition, many restaurants have shifted to food delivery or curb-side pick-up. Please continue to support our local businesses as you are able.
