Party With A Purpose
100 Black Men Of Prince George’s County To Host Its Annual Holiday Party To Raise Money For Its Signature Programs
100 Black Men of Prince George's County, Inc. – the mentorship arm that raises up African American youth to realize their potential – will be hosting its 6th Annual Holiday Party, a fundraising event to support its various programming.
The event takes place on December 8 from 6:30-10:00pm at the Newton White Mansion in Mitchellville. Tickets for the event are $75 per person and includes heavy appetizers, two drink vouchers, and music provided by DJ Jamie Younger.
The 6th Annual Holiday Party will benefit the organization’s signature programs such as: 100Way Golf Program, Saturday Leadership Academy, and Financial Literacy Programs. These programs are designed to inspire youth, their families, and members from the communities they serve; they are offered complimentary to youth. The goal of the organization is for each participant to develop the self-reliance to achieve immediate and long-term goals, and to strive for excellence.
Founded in 2012, the Prince George’s County chapter, like many other nonprofits, were forced to pivot its focus last year, by limiting their fundraising campaigning due to social distance protocol and the increase in Covid-19 cases. However, as cases waned and residents got vaccinated, fundraising jumped to the top of the list of priorities.
Members are invited to attend the event as well as community supports, families and friends. Many of the youth that the organization has mentored attend this annual event with their parents.
