Lake Arbor Jazz Festival Sunday Jazz Experience

Performing at this year’s Sunday Jazz Experience will be Grammy nominated Chieli Minucci with Special EFX All Stars featuring violinist Karen Briggs, keyboard wizard Lao Tizer, trumpeter Lin Rountree, and American Idol vocalist Elliott Yamin.

Also taking the stage will be Lake Arbor Jazz Uncut trio of Oli Silk, Brian Lenair, and Kevin Jackson. Opening the Sunday Jazz Experience will be saxman Tony Craddock, Jr., and his Cold Front Band. 

The event features a lobby reception with cash bar and VIP reception featuring complimentary hors d’ oeuvres and wine. Enjoy an afternoon of live entertainment featuring an amazing line-up of jazz performers. 

Preferred reserved orchestra and reserved rear orchestra seating is available.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the Prince Georges Cultural Arts Foundation Scholarship Fund.

The Howard University Jazz Ensemble (HUJE) will perform classic American jazz selections. Performing with HUJE as a guest soloist will be saxophonist Tia Fuller. Fuller is Professor of Music at the Berklee School of Music. This performance is a part of Howard University’s Homecoming celebrations.

NSO Conductor Laureate Christoph Eschenbach returns to lead a program of Mendelssohn’s Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage along with his Violin Concerto, featuring dynamic violinist Ray Chen. The concert will conclude with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6, “Pastoral.”
