Lauren Hunt, Lucas Scalamogna, and Grace Meng Tian have been playing together for many years beginning when they all attended the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia. Horn player Dr. Lauren Hunt is currently on faculty at Illinois State University and performs regularly with a variety of ensembles across the United States. As a soloist, Dr. Hunt has appeared with numerous orchestras, including the Army Orchestra in Washington, D.C. Violinist Lucas Scalamogna has performed as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player throughout the United States, South America, Europe, and Asia. His symphonic experience includes engagements with the Grant Park Orchestra, the Alabama Symphony, the Spoleto Festival Orchestra, the Charleston Symphony, and the Youth Orchestra of the Americas. Pianist Grace Meng Tian earned a Bachelor of Music degree from Renmin University of China, a Master of Music Performance and Artist Certificate from Georgia State University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Georgia. She has won many awards for her playing, including first prize at the Kawai Asia Piano Competition and first place at the Toyama Piano Competition.

Accordionist Rob Curto leads this trio, originally from New York City. An important Forró ambassador in the U.S., Curto has introduced many music lovers to the Northeastern Brazilian Music. He was an original member of the band Forró in t
he Dark with Mauro Refosco (David Byrne, Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Smokey Hormel (Beck). Hailing from south of Sao Paulo, charismatic vocalist Rose Moraes has entertained thousands of music lovers with her “Roots of Brazil” concerts.
She has performed widely in Switzerland, Poland, Brazil, and the U.S., where she now resides. She and Curto are joined by Scott Kettner for the Montpelier program.

Leo Kottke is an acoustic guitarist known for a fingerpicking style that draws on blues, jazz, and folk music, and for syncopated, polyphonic melodies. He overcame a series of personal obstacles, including partial loss of hearing and a nearly career-ending bout with tendon damage in his right hand, to emerge as a widely recognized master of his instrument. He currently resides in the Minneapolis area with his family.

Barbara Trzetrzelewska, known simply as Basia, (born 30 September 1954) is a Polish singer-songwriter and record producer. After finding initial success in the mid-1980s as a singer for the British sophisti-pop trio Matt Bianco, Basia established a solo career in 1986 and subsequently enjoyed a successful recording career featuring characteristically Latin-flavoured jazz-pop crossover songs. She is noted for possessing a wide vocal range, approximately three octaves that span from contralto to soprano tessituras, as well as her singular jazz-influenced stylings and multi-layered harmonies.  (Wikipedia)
